The second test was to see how the device steadied the camera whilst walking slow and fast and also walking up and down stairs. At points the camera did swing quite a lot but it was surprising how smooth the filming was on the stairs. The swinging movement was still being created as there was not enough weight at the bottom of the steadicam but with every test I added more weight to the horizontal threaded rod.
