The final test was to take the steadicam outside and walk over uneven surfaces to see if the steadicam would smooth my filming. On the handle I have added some padding to help absorb any shaking that is coming from my hand. The parts of the film that are unsteady are where I am not watching the camera screen, these will be easily fixed using the motion stabilizer tool on After Effects.

As long as I watch the camera screen when recording then the filming should be smooth, I just need to become familiar with the way that the steadicam works. I think that I also need to adjust the weights again on the steadicam.
